Pues eso, buscaba una guía para activar el mod_rewrite, y encontre que existe una utilidad FFFFFF-ormidable (como diría Lu Castañeda) llamada:
a2enmod (apache2 enabled module) y
a2dismod (apache2 disabled module).
Aquí la fuente y la linea que necesito es esta:
~# a2enmod write
